PhotoGPS records all your positions for hours and hours, using as little battery as possible. You can record a precise location by going back to the app.
You can then export all the places you've been to in between two days, review it, purge your history.
If you are using the GPS in the background, please be advised that the prolonged use of GPS will seriously decrease battery life. With this app, when in background, only the towers and wifi are used to locate you, so you will not have that battery life issue.
It works with iPhone and iPod touch, although location with iPod touch will be less precise (no GPS).
